For 2026-27, PHEAA raised the maximum award to $6,000, up from $5,750, the highest in the program’s history. It also added a $15 million supplement, bringing total 2026-27 State Grant funding to $445.2 million. Your actual award depends on your need, your school’s cost and the money available, and it’s often lower than the maximum.

What Is the Ready to Succeed Scholarship?

The Ready to Succeed Scholarship (RTSS) helps middle-income students who are doing well in school. For 2026-27, awards range from $1,500 to $3,000. You need at least 24 college credits (remedial credits don’t count), a college GPA of 2.50 or higher and family income of no more than $208,000. There’s no separate application: you’re considered when you file the FAFSA and the PA State Grant Form, and PHEAA makes the award decision. Funding is limited, so apply early.

What Is the Grow PA Scholarship Grant?

Grow PA pays up to $5,000 a year to Pennsylvania students in more than 460 high-demand majors at Pennsylvania colleges, for up to four years. It comes with a work and residency commitment: after graduation, you must live and work in Pennsylvania in a qualifying in-demand job for 12 months for each year you received the grant.
