Honest question do employers care if you went back at 40 plus

Been thinking about this too honestly. I'm 42 and honestly employers don't care when you got the degree, they just care that you have it. I got hired last year after finishing my degree at night and nobody asked why I waited so long. Just make sure your resume is clean and your work experience is solid and you're good.
