Rural community colleges closing - this hits home

I just read that UW Platteville's rural campus shut down mid-semester and it really got to me. In my experience, women in smaller towns often choose community college because it fits their life, their budget, and their commute, so losing these schools means losing real opportunities. I found that when you take away the local option, a lot of capable women just stop trying instead of driving an hour each way or moving away from their families. This matters because education should be accessible where people actually live and work. Has anyone here been affected by a campus closure or know students dealing with this?
