New federal voucher program has me worried for public school funding

I actually dug into this NPR piece because I'm thinking a lot about education access right now. So there's a new scholarship tax credit program that could help families pay for tutoring, online courses, and other educational services, which sounds good on the surface. But here's what I found concerning: Democrats and education advocates are worried this could drain resources from already underfunded public schools by directing money toward private alternatives instead. This matters to those of us going back to school or thinking about our kids' futures because public school stability affects everyone, not just wealthy families who can afford private options. I'm curious what others think about whether this expands opportunity or just creates a two-tiered system.
