High Schools Need to Keep Up With Actual Job Market Changes
I actually dug into this Hechinger Report piece and found it really compelling. So Evan Perez built an actual AI business while still in high school at a career-focused public school and got a full ride to Babson, and the article raises this question: if the workforce is changing this fast, why aren't more high schools structured to match it? This matters a lot to me because I think about all the women returning to school or switching careers and how they're often working with outdated frameworks. If high schools started treating entrepreneurship and real-world skill building the way they treat traditional academics, we'd have a totally different pipeline of people entering college and the workforce actually ready for what's out there now. The piece is asking us to help shape what this looks like, which I think deserves more attention in this community.
