High schools need to catch up with the real world
I know this sounds silly but reading about Evan's AI business project made me realize how far behind we are in preparing students for what's actually out there. It's making me think about my own path back to school and whether traditional education is even set up for people like us who want to pivot or build something new. Maybe someone else feels this way too, like you're not sure if the old playbook still works. I love that Babson is recognizing this kind of entrepreneurial thinking with a full scholarship because it shows colleges are starting to get it, even if high schools are still playing catch-up. The thing that gets me is how much pressure we put on teenagers to choose a major before they've even tried building or making anything real. I'm genuinely hopeful that this conversation about evolving high schools means the next generation won't have to figure things out the hard way like so many of us did.
