finally something about the money teachers spend out of pocket

just read this and got mad all over again. these educators are literally buying rugs and lights with their own paychecks because the system won't fund it. that's not dedication that's just broken. if a tax change could actually let them deduct this stuff it takes real money back into their hands every year. this matters because early childhood workers are mostly women making nothing and we keep expecting them to subsidize their own jobs. we need actual policy that stops treating teachers like volunteers.
