grad school loans are basically impossible right now and nobody's talking about it

I have been exactly there, sitting in my senior year trying to figure out how to pay for a masters program that would actually let me do meaningful work. I watched classmates drop out of doctorate programs because the loan system treats grad students like we're getting a luxury degree instead of a requirement for careers in healthcare and therapy. Nobody told me that federal grad loans have caps that don't cover actual tuition, and private lenders will bleed you dry with interest rates that make no sense. This matters because it's literally blocking people from becoming occupational therapists, counselors, and nurses who actually want to serve communities, and we're losing them to debt before they even start.
