Alaska town nailed it with their $1 million decision
I just read about Seward, Alaska choosing child care as their top priority when they got funding, and honestly this is exactly what I see holding women back from their education goals. In my experience, the biggest barrier to going back to school isn't the classes themselves, it's figuring out where your kids go during the day. When a community recognizes that child care is the foundation everything else builds on, it changes what's possible for mothers trying to learn new skills and advance their careers. I found that even women who are ready and motivated can't follow through without reliable, affordable care. Has anyone here struggled with finding child care while studying? I'd love to hear how you worked it out.
