AI certificates don't mean much if we're not teaching the right stuff
I found this article really eye opening because I've been seeing so many "AI ready" programs popping up, and honestly I was wondering if they actually prepare people for real work. The story points out that colleges are handing out certificates but we don't really know if students can actually use AI responsibly on the job, which feels like a gap we need to close. In my experience, learning a tool is one thing but knowing when and how to use it ethically is completely different. If you're going back to school or thinking about an AI course, I'd ask hard questions about whether they're teaching you to think critically about these tools or just how to click buttons. We deserve programs that actually set us up for success in jobs that want responsible AI skills, not just the flashy stuff.
