Going back for my masters at 52 is it worth it

Been working in my field for years and the money just stopped moving up. Now I'm thinking about going back for a masters but I'm 52 and wondering if it actually pays off. Did anyone here do grad school later and was it worth the hassle and cost? I need real talk not encouragement.
