Workforce Training in Michigan

Michigan has a strong workforce development system through Michigan Works!. In addition to WIOA, Michigan offers sector-specific training grants in advanced manufacturing and healthcare. Some large employers partner with community colleges to offer free or subsidized training programs.

Contact your local Michigan workforce office and ask about WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) training funds. WIOA can pay for tuition, books, childcare, and transportation for programs in high-demand fields like healthcare, IT, and skilled trades.
